A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH
means that conditions are favorable for the development of a severe
thunderstorm
You should:
- Look for darkening skies, flashes of lightning, the sound of
thunder or increasing wind. These are signs that the storm is approaching.
- If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to the storm to be
struck by lightning! Seek safe shelter immediately.
- Listen to your local WeatherNet station, NOAA Weather Radio, or commercial radio for the
latest weather information.
Be weatherwise!
